Build your email with modules
Build your email with modules
Emails are built from modules. Drag one in, click it to edit, and stack them into whatever layout you need. There's no HTML to write and nothing to make responsive by hand.
The modules
- Text and Heading for copy.
- Image for a single picture. Compound image for a group of them.
- Media and text puts an image beside copy. There's a row variant for repeating that pattern.
- Button for your call to action.
- Header and top banner for the top of the email.
- Article cards and product cards for a set of linked items with images.
- Video for a thumbnail that links out. Email clients don't play video inline, so this is a poster image with a link.
- Divider and spacer for breathing room.
Images
Drag in an Image module and click it to upload. We compress and optimize the file so it loads quickly in an inbox, which matters more than it does on the web: mail clients are slower to fetch images and some won't fetch them at all until the reader allows it.
Which is why an email that's one giant image is a bad idea. Anyone with images turned off sees nothing. Keep real text in text modules.
Can I paste in my own HTML?
Not currently. Everything is built from the module set above. Custom HTML import is on the roadmap.
The tradeoff is worth understanding: hand-written email HTML has to survive Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, and a long tail of clients that each break different things. Building from modules means that testing has already happened.
Preview before you send
Send yourself a test from the send screen. It goes to your verified reply-to address, so you're looking at the real email in a real inbox rather than a preview pane. Test sends are marked with a TEST badge in your stats so they never muddle your numbers.
