Schedule a campaign

Pick a date and time in your account's timezone, then cancel or move it if plans change. What gets checked again before it sends.

Rather than sending straight away, you can pick a date and time and let it go out on its own.

Schedule it

On the send screen, choose to schedule instead of sending, then pick your date and time. The time you choose is in your account's timezone, and the confirmation names that timezone so there's no ambiguity about which 9am you meant.

The campaign then sits as scheduled until its moment arrives.

Cancelling

Open the campaign and cancel the schedule. It returns to a draft you can keep editing.

To move a scheduled send to a different time, cancel it and schedule it again. There's no separate reschedule.

What happens at send time

Your sender details are checked again at dispatch, not just when you scheduled. That matters because a lot can change in the days between:

  • If your reply-to address stopped being verified, the send won't go out.
  • If your business name or mailing address was cleared, the send won't go out.
  • Your send limits are checked against your usage at that moment, not at the time you scheduled.

So if you schedule something a fortnight out and then change your sender settings, look at the campaign before the date arrives.

Sending window

Give some thought to when it lands rather than when it's convenient to press the button. A campaign scheduled for the middle of the night arrives at the bottom of a pile of overnight mail.
